Gyle 717 is a very special beer for First Chop. We have made just 1000 litres of this 8.5% Barley Wine into which we have chucked 75kg of blackcurrants. The backbone is the excellent floor malted Maris Otter from Warminster. Then a hefty dose of whole leaf Ekuanot, Summit and Bramling Cross hops. And we’ve finished it by ageing on French oak.
